The United Spiritualists of the Christ Light (U.S.C.L.) church was officially established in January of 2000 as an organization dedicated to bring the message of Spiritualism to the Greater Cincinnati area and provide a place for Spiritualists and those who wished to learn about it to meet and worship.

As part of our religion, we accept and follow the teachings and example of the Christ Consciousness, epitomized in the Master Jesus. This consciousness is one of pure love, or enlightenment. Jesus is recognized as being the son of God who was enlightened, a master teacher, and the greatest healer and prophet of this world.

Spirit communication, healing, prophecy, and other phenomena of Spiritualism are in line with the teachings of the bible and Jesus. The bible contains more than 150 positive references to these topics. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul discloses and discusses the spiritual gifts. These include the gifts of prophecy and healing, among several others.  Jesus himself demonstrated the gifts manifested by the power of the Holy Spirit, and he encouraged his followers to carry on his ministry on Earth, telling them in John 14: 11 – 13, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”  Spiritualists develop and practice spiritual gifts for the edification and empowerment of the individual in service to God and humankind.

Unlike other faiths with strict doctrines or creeds, the U.S.C.L. ministry is based on fifteen principles, which in turn are based on the Golden Rule, Natural Law, the continuity of life, and personal responsibility.

We are a 501(c)3 organization. Our board of directors includes a president, a vice-president, a secretary, a treasurer, a director of education and a congregational representative.
